A group of Venturers and their leaders from Highgate & Holloway district WF organised a bivouac camp at Scarletts last weekend. They hiked with their rucksacks full of equipment for four hours from East Grinstead station, built bivvies from tarps and ropes supplied by the site and cooked their food on Trangia stoves. They set off back to East Grinstead early afternoon for their return.
To quote one of their leaders “Why didn’t we know about this little gem of a site before, It’s fantastic”.
